Yes, the shipping of food, hygiene products, and medicines via ocean or air cargo services is allowed.
In addition, an exemption from customs duties has been approved for non-commercial shipments via air, ocean, and postal services, limited to 200 points or 20 kg per shipment. There are no limits on the amount of shipments per person, and they can be either mixed or independent, as long as they solely contain food, hygiene products, or medicines. This regulation is valid until June 30, 2024.
There are no customs duties for the first 30 points or their equivalent weight of 3 kg. If your shipment exceeds above the limit of 30 points/3 kg, an additional 30% will be applied to the total cost.

Medicines can be shipped via non-commercial air, ocean, and postal services, up to a limit of 20 kg. Taxes in cup (cuban peso) will have to be paid by your family/receiver in Cuba. Please note that medicines should be sent in their original containers and/or packaging. Note* adult diapers are classified as medicines.
Packages of miscellaneous cargo can weight up to 3 kgs. When preparing packages at home, make sure packages are not heavier than 2.95 kgs to allow for extra packaging if needed. Note that additional taxes will be applied for each extra gram.
Clothing, footwear, non-perishable food, toiletries, etc. Keep in mind that there are items that are not allowed by air / maritime cargo because they are considered dangerous. For example: batteries, matches, chemical products, aerosols or sprays, perfumes, hairdressing products, nail polish, etc. For more information, contact the nearest Central America Cargo office for advice.
Customs does not state a limit on how many shipments a person can receive. Please note that shipments cannot be commercial in nature and must not exceed what is allowed by customs regulations. Yes, the recent regulations have raised the value limits from 200 to 500 points for non-commercial air, ocean, and postal shipments. Now you can send products such as a television, a refrigerator, a freezer, a gaming console, a washing machine, and more.

Only residents who possess a cuban id or a “carnet de identidad” and have travelled outside of cuba can import ub (ena -unaccompanied baggage-). These individuals can bring items that exceed the value of $ 200.00 usd until they complete the $ 1000.00 (points). Additionally, as per the new regulations, an exemption from custom duties has been granted for imported food, hygiene products, or medicines through ub. Valid for shipments up to a maximum of 500 points or 50 kg until 31/03/2024.
You are allowed to send a maximum of 500 usd worth of items per shipment, and 30 usd is free from customs duties. If your shipment’s value surpasses 30 points, you will only be charged 30% of customs duties on the excess. This regulation will be in place until 30/06/2024.

To ship a container the person must have received their residence through the repatriation process, or have canceled their pre (residence permit abroad). Also, the person must have a permit issued by transcargo or palco agencies. These are the agencies designated to receive personal effects shipments.
Tools can be shipped as long as they do not contain batteries.
All auto parts are allowed to be shipped in the regulation as long as they are new and have no oil residue and no fuel has circulated through them at any point.
Gas cars and motorcycles can only be imported temporarily into Cuba with prior authorization from cuban authorities.
